1. Preparation
Hopefully, you know what's come, because you've read the introduction.
There are no excuses: use class time and homework time wisely: we have a schedule to keep.
You must always be prepared to ask questions.
Use your initiative: if you are stuck, be prepared to do some research to find helpful examples.
Check out each lesson's additional helpful resources (here's an example)
You must always be organized and ready to share your work with your teacher.
To be prepared for lesson tests, you must complete all assigned work for that lesson.
2. Work
Use your time wisely, for both class and home work.
Be prepared to use your initiation: when you need help, look for it!
If you are having difficulties or have any questions, let your teacher know.
Complete the skill practice assignments, while learning from your mistakes.
Complete and master all assigned IXL skills, keeping track of your progress.
Take note of EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM you get wrong during practice for future reference.
If ever you are ahead of schedule and have the time, work towards bonus points!
Make use of Khan Academy: master the assigned skills and watch other videos for support.
MAKE UP YOUR WORK! If you are absent, you must make up the time so not to fall behind.
3. Remember the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Help your friends and classmates, because you might need help sometime in the future.
So... don't be afraid to ask your peers for help!
PARTICIPATE in group activities: your team will be more helpful, if they see you are contributing.
4. Confidence
If you believe you can be successful, you will be - as long as you are working to the best of your ability.
NEVER say you cannot do it, it is too difficult. Always ask what you can do to overcome that obstacle.
Remember: it is okay to ASK QUESTIONS!
5. Leadership
Don't just be good. Be great! Use your skills! Share your creativity! Show your strengths.
